Description

RHEOTHIX SG-600 is afinely micronised powder type of anti-sagging agent based on polyamide wax for heavy duty coatings. This product provides an excellent anti-sagging and anti-settling properties to conventional solvent-borne coatings when incorporated directly into the mill base. RHEOTHIX SG-600 can be easily dispersed into paint formulation with heat generated during the stage of grinding of mill base. RHEOTHIX SG-600 gives very lettle troubles such as seeding and/or poor intercoat adhesion.

Application

RHEOTHIX SG-600 has been designed for solvent based heavy duty coatings such as epoxy primers, chlorinated rubber primers, and alkyd primers.

Incorporation

RHEOTHIX SG-600 requires controlled processing temperature (45~70°C) in order to ensure sufficient wetting and complete activation. So RHEOTHIX SG-600 should be incorporated into mill base and grinded at 45~70°C on a heat generating disperser such as high speed disperser or stronger mills.

• For Anti-Sagging Application : 0.5 ~ 2.0% based on totla paint formulation
• For Anti-Settling Application : 0.2 ~ 0.5% based on total paing formulation

Storage

RHEOTHIX SG-600 should be stored in the tightly closed original packaging in a cool and dry place at 5 ~ 30°C. Avoid exposure to heat source and direct sunlight. Under recommended storage condition, RHEOTHIX SG-600 may be stored up to 12 months.
